At March Legend ® each custom design we do is carefully considered, selecting only the most special American woods, many which we have reclaimed and aged for years or locally harvested then aged for several years until we decide to release them for new projects. Our products feature centuries old traditional techniques such as tongue & groove, ship lapping, and mortise & tenon joinery style construction to ensure long life.

Our process combines a blend of European and American style craftsmanship enhanced by our North Carolina history & tradition of superior craftsmanship. 

 Our furniture is all about the feel and touch only a master craftsman can pour into it; the charm of slight imperfections and the practical clean lines of simplistic artistry. So in keeping with that spirit the Fable Porch series furniture is bench made and hand assembled one piece at a time with no automation or assembly line process.

What this means is, every piece that ventures from our workshop is attended and imbued through our master craftsman displaying years of experience and is focused solely on your piece. 

Each piece is meticulously crafted for fit and finish in a controlled series of natural perfect, and imperfect techniques to create the authentic hand aged furniture in which the Fable Porch series by March Legend ® has become known.

Choose to purchase our furniture on display (tagged in stock or ready to ship see FAQ's for details) or choose to have your furniture made to order to your SPECIFICATIONS. Each piece can be made to length, width and depth. Choose to intermix any of our creative interpretations.  Every piece has your choice custom color in any combination you choose. We get asked all the time by our customers, "How durable is your finish?" 

Well, let me start by telling you a short story.

I was cleaning our youngest son's room. While I was dusting his furniture, I removed his lamp from

his night stand and found this beautiful crayon drawing. 

"Ahhhhh!" was my first reaction but then again, I was like, "No worries, 

it's an original Fable Porch Furniture piece that is topped off with

Vermont Natural Coatings."

With a combination of Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey® top coat and their Non-Toxic,

plant based wood cleaner, removing the crayon portrait was no sweat! I sprayed a liberal

amount of wood cleaner and two minutes later......

VOILA!
